Ednalou C. Ballard, CFP, RFC is one of New England’s most successful financial planning professionals. An accomplished writer and speaker, she has been a contributing author to the Prentice-Hall book, Financial Planning Can Make You Rich; author of Profit and Prosper, through tax, estate and investment planning strategies, Peregrine Press, and co-author of the 1996, and 1998, Practical Guide to Planning Giving, by Taft.

Mrs. Ballard began her career in 1968 as the first female broker of a Connecticut brokerage firm. Choosing to specialize in tax, investment, and retirement planning, she became Financial Planner of the Year many times, an expert in comprehensive wealth management. 

A graduate of Temple University, Mrs. Ballard became a Certified Financial Planner in 1979, a Registered Financial Consultant, RFC, and Registered Investment Advisor Agent and was admitted to the “Registry of Financial Planning Practitioners”. She has served as President and Chairman of the Board for the Connecticut chapter of the International Association for Financial Planning.

In 1980, she launched her own firm, Financial Planning Centre, Inc., offering all aspects of financial planning and wealth management. When her husband, Norman D. Ballard, a Financial and Computer Analyst, joined the firm in 1994, the firm name became Ballard Associates.
 

  


 
Norman D. Ballard, is a graduate of Cleveland Institute of Technology and Lowell Tech. He worked, as a design engineer with Raytheon, Electric Boat, and United Technologies. Simultaneously, through his career, Mr. Ballard also worked with Mrs. Ballard and the Financial Planning Centre; designing, implementing, and providing technical support for the financial planning analyticals and computer operation. An integral part of the financial planning process, Norman Ballard became an equal partner in 1994.

Together the Ballard’s in-depth knowledge of employee benefits, retirement programs, investments, and tax and estate planning allows them to provide comprehensive wealth management solutions for their clientele.
