Instead of using a "Sign-up" Guest book have a Polaroid camera set up as your guests walk in. Leave a sign asking for each guest (or couple) to take their picture (have someone else do it!), then have a photo album at hand where they can place their picture along with a comment or two. After all is said and done, you have a great keepsake that you will cherish throughout the years. Carol Livingston ~ Danbury, CT
Have a Jack and Jill party to combine the bachelor/bachelorette parties. This alleviates any questions of where the groom is on the day of the wedding (Hawaii?) or who was dancing on his lap! Lynn Stuckus ~ Groton, CT
Need help with your budget? Plan a Testimonial before your wedding. Invite all of your guests to a casual party where they each pay $5 - $10 a head towards wedding costs (or the honeymoon). The bride and groom supplies the food and beer, possibly some entertainment. The food can be a barbecue with a keg of beer. A juke box at your favorite establishment can be inexpensive or a cd player in your back yard. Plus, your friends have a chance to hang out together before the formal dresses and tuxedos!
